We all know about the New Jersey Home Sales Tax, also known as the Realty Transfer Fee (RTF), and how the State Legislature is considering an increase in the tax on homeowners who sell their home in New Jersey. This will obviously harm individual property owners; many of whom rely on the equity in their homes to help fund another home purchase or other financial goal. Additional taxes or fees on the purchase or sale of real property will lead to higher home prices in New Jersey; something none of us need.
We feel it is important to encourage everyone to sign the "Stop the Home Tax Petition" to prevent higher home sales taxes in New Jersey. You can sign the petition by going to www.njhometax.com. Not only is it important for all of us to sign this petition, but it is important to encourage the general public to sign as well.
